In this Unity tutorial we will learn how to add the audio to our game objects in Unity. Throughout these lessons, we’ll add all of the audio used in this game. We’ll start out by adding the weapon firing and reload sound effects to our game weapons. Then we’ll add the necessary audio to our character like footsteps, groans of pain, and his death sound effect. After that we’ll get into adding audio to the enemies. We’ll create their ambient crawling sound, their splatter and death scream. Then we’ll wrap it all up by adding our music track to play while we are playing our game.

In this Unity tutorial we’ll discuss the major foundations of scripting with javascript in Unity. Then we will take what we’ve learned and apply it to a mini project. We’ll look at several of the terms and techniques that are found when scripting in Unity such as creating and manipulating variables, understanding the different types of operators, and how we can create instructions for our game objects using functions. We’ll also jump into creating logic with conditional statements, and loops. We’ll even learn how to use basic arrays. Finally, we’ll take what we’ve learned and apply it to creating a movement and animation script.

In this Unity tutorial, we’ll learn how to code a game’s state or logic to keep track of things like timers, kills and rounds. Through these lessons, we’ll examine our game design doc and build game-play functionality. We’ll begin with creating a simple count-down timer and how to let other scripts cleanly access it. Then we’ll learn how to start and end our game with a splash screen to hide the level. Next we’ll create functions for the various parts of a game, like winning a round, pausing the game, killing an enemy, saving our data, resetting our game, and game over. Finally we’ll take a quick look at randomly spawning our player. A game’s internal logic is one of the most important parts of any game’s development. By learning how to deal with many common game states, we can extend them to fit our own game’s needs

2 hrs. 8 min. | February 1, 2012 | TopoGun 1.06, Maya 2012 | Author: Justin Marshall

In this tutorial we’re going to learn to use Maya and TopoGun to convert a high-resolution motorcycle into a game-type model. Film and commercial projects often require very high-resolution, highly detailed vehicle models. However, these models are not appropriate for games or other real-time applications because of the large number of polygons. So in order to be able to rig, animate, or integrate these models into a game engine, we first have to convert the model to a much lower resolution. Using a motorcycle as our example, we’ll use Maya to reduce the resolution of many of the pieces. We’ll then use TopoGun to create new topology for the very detailed meshes like the engine or radiator. We’ll cover methods for baking normal and color maps from within Maya as well as in TopoGun. These techniques will allow us to create a much lower resolution model that is visually very close to its higher-resolution counterpart. Once we’re done, you’ll have a good grasp of several of the tools we can use to create game-resolution vehicle models and you’ll have the knowledge you need to apply those techniques to your own models. If you’re interested in building the high resolution motorcycle from start to finish, please check out the Motorcycle Modeling Techniques in Maya course which will take you through that process.

Communicating early concepts. Trying to make design decisions. Creating marketing and sales images. No matter what you are trying to do, KeyShot breaks down the complexity barriers of creating photographic images from 3D models. Faster, easier, and more amazing than ever before. In realtime. KeyShot is easy, it doesn’t require any specialized expertise. KeyShot has 6 main buttons rather than hundreds of parameters, options, sliders, and adjustments found in traditional rendering programs. It is the perfect tool for anyone who is or wants to get involved with 3D data: industrial designers, mechanical engineers, marketing professionals, photographers, CG experts – you name it. The only limit is your creativity.

Fundamentals of Compositing, Tracking, and Roto Techniques with After Effects
English | ISO | Video: vp6f FlashVideo .FLV | Resolution: 1024×768 | Audio: mp3 44100Hz mono 96 kb/s | Duration: 1 hrs 25 min | 1.07 GB
Genre: eLearning

In this workshop Jeff Foster — video producer, compositor, visual effects artist, and author of “The Green Screen Handbook” — teaches you the basics of green screen compositing and setting up a streamlined roto workflow with After Effects and a Wacom tablet. You’ll get real-world tips on getting the best mattes and keys from your green screen shots, stabilizing and tracking footage in After Effects, and using the Roto Brush feature to create quick and accurate mattes of anything that moves in the frame. You’ll also learn how to create more believable composites by matching your foreground and background plates, using roto-spline masks, and applying match-moving techniques.

In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of getting a good green screen composite and setting up a streamlined roto workflow with After Effects and a Wacom tablet. The contents of this course include:

Setting Up a Wacom Tablet for Editing
A Wacom tablet is a great tool for editing in After Effects, and in this chapter you’ll get some recommendations for how to set one up.

Getting a Great Matte from Green Screen Shots
In this chapter you’ll learn techniques for extracting and compositing green screen shots, matching foreground and background plates, and fixing problem shots.

Roto-Masking in After Effects
In this chapter you’ll learn about the process of defining a mask that changes over time. This involves deciding what you want to mask, defining keyframes, and letting the “tweening” process fill in between those keyframes.

Stabilizing and Tracking Footage
In this chapter you’ll learn techniques for stabilizing and tracking footage and get an introduction to the process of match-moving.

The Roto Brush: Compositing with Masks
The Roto Brush in After Effects is a great tool for quick roto work. You’ll learn all about it in this chapter.

Matte Layer Tips and Tricks
In this chapter you’ll get a few final tips for maximizing the quality of your mattes.

The lessons are wrapped in a feature-rich interface that lets you jump to any topic and bookmark individual sections for later review. Full-Screen mode provides a hi-def, immersive experience, and Watch-and-Work mode shrinks the video into a small window so you can play the videos alongside your application. Also included are exercise files that give you an easy way to try out the techniques you learn.
